Emma Jane Hogbin

Xtrinsic is Emma Jane Hogbin's technical consulting company. She has been working in the industry as a web developer since 1996, and has taught at both Seneca College and Humber College. In this time Emma has helped hundreds of individuals (including over one hundred organizations) to realize their own potential, and the potential of their on-line presence.

When working with clients Emma adopts the role of the cheerleader and coach. She creates systems that are tailored to allow her clients to succeed at their work. Her infectious enthusiasm and ability to explain concepts without using technical jargon puts even the greatest technophobes at ease.

In the classroom, Emma puts the individual first. Each new semester starts with an assessment of every student's learning style and continues with activities customized for each students. She focuses her teaching on standards-compliant web development. Using her skills in accessible web development, Emma has also modified her classes to accommodate students with mobility impairments, low vision/blindness, and students with learning disabilities.

Emma is also an amateur bookbinder, knitter, crocheter, quilter and hand spinner. She has a pet angora rabbit which produces a beautiful white fur that she uses in her crafts.
