After months and months of development work, the revised CrochetMe.com has launched! This project involved a complete overhaul of an existing Drupal site.
The format changed from a "traditional" Web 'zine with specific publication dates to a UGC (user-generated content) on-line crochet community. The changes to functionality are significant, but the initial content base is the same. Crocheters are now able to submit their own patterns and tips to the site for immediate publication. Registered visitors are able to save their favourites as well as vote on patterns and leave comments.
Within a few hours of launching the site there were over 100 registered members of the community.
Update: within two days there were 1000 registered crocheters!
For the most part I find politics way too...political. But I am absolutely delighted to launch Shane Jolley's new campaign Web site. Shane believes strongly in the value of community-based economics and participatory democracy. I am delighted to be a part of Shane's team and am looking forward to stretching my Drupal skills to include CiviCRM for on-line campaigns.
The brand new Sublime Stitching Customer Gallery has launched! Visitors to Jenny's site are once again able to post pictures of their embroidered projects made from her patterns. Go check it out--and while you're there take a moment to marvel at all the really cool patterns she's dreamed up.
